COMMITTEES AND ADVISORY
BOARDS
The following are
the seven (7) committees and the two (2) advisory boards and a brief description
of their tasks. You must serve on at least one committee or an advisory
board to be an active, voting member.
Care Services Planning
Committee
- To coordinate planning related to primary medical services, dental
services, hospice services, behavioral health (including MH and D&A)
services, and managed care, and to coordinate planning related to case
management services.
Supportive Services
Planning Committee
- To coordinate planning
related to buddy/care team services, day care services, emergency fund
services, legal services, advocacy services, benefits/financial counseling
services, education/risk reduction services, nutrition/food services,
support/self-help groups services, drop-in center services, transportation
services, and home health services.
Housing Services
Planning Committee
- To coordinate planning
related to housing information/referral services, housing emergency
fund services, residential services, and rental assistance services.
Prevention Services
Planning Committee
- To coordinate planning
related to counseling/testing services, venue-based group outreach services,
materials distribution services, prevention intervention case management
services, and natural opinion leader program services.
Education/Technical
Assistance Services Planning Committee
- To coordinate planning
related to consultation services, presentation and community education
services, instruction/training services, media services, and SWPAPC
technical assistance services.
Evaluation Committee
- To coordinate the
evaluation of both the effectiveness of the coalition and its processes,
and the effectiveness of the regional service delivery system.
- To provide a mechanism
for persons with HIV/AIDS infection to have meaningful input into the
development of policies and programs by HIV service providers within
SWPAPC.
Rural Issues Advisory
Board
- To provide a mechanism
whereby issues unique to rural areas are meaningfully represented in
the development of needs assessment, priority setting, planning service
system evaluation and resource allocation within the SWPAPC.
