Mission Statement
To respond to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Southwestern Pennsylvania by planning,
advocating, and supporting the development of culturally competent, comprehensive
system of high quality care, prevention, and education services.
SWPAPC Goals
- To design and put in place a Coalition needs assessment process and mechanism.
- To maintain a data collection system for planning and monitoring HIV/AIDS services in the region.
- To create and improve annually a process for definition of a regional plan for implementation the following fiscal year.
- To research care and prevention models and programs and new/special populations to be addressed.
- To identify and invite consumers, minority representatives, and drug & alcohol program representatives and other stakeholders to participate at various levels and in all activities of the Coalition.
- To design and put in place a mechanism which identifies and disseminates information about technical assistance needed and available across the region.
