Statistical Summary Report 2001:
- From 1992 to 2001, the Reported AIDS Mortality and Morbidity Rate
shows that more people are living with AIDS.
- From 1981 to 2001, males aged 20 - 49 years represent the highest
number of reported AIDS cases.
- From 1981 to 2001, total AIDS cases reported shows an overall increase
for African-Americans, while it seems to be decreasing for other ethnic
groups.
- Non-white females represent 67% total AIDS cases reported even though
they represent only 8.3% of the total population.
- From June 2001 to December 2001, African-Americans represent the highest
number of AIDS cases reported.
